StillWill
My AC leaked freon over three month period to a level where it was not cooling. Tech recharged and leaked out again. After recharge the head pressure was really high, the system is filled with freon, yet there are bubbles in sight glass. Tech says there is blockage in the system causing high head pressure. Recommends complete flush to remove contaminants. Thinks contaminants may be Oring, rust, etc.... Oring pieces may have come from compressor unit. Would it make sense to repair and/or replace compressor during flush? Has anyone had this problem and can give some comments about it? Tech quoted almost $400.00 bucks for the flush. Thanks for your comments.
