jwynalek Posted June 9, 2009 Share Posted June 9, 2009 I need to replace the serpentine accessory drive belt on my '04 LS. Dealer wants $250 to do it. Are there any special techniques to doing this? or, is it a simple job of just pulling back the tensioner and threading in the new belt? Thanks in advance for any input. curiousB Posted June 9, 2009 Share Posted June 9, 2009 Drive_belt.pdf Seems a little stiff. Now you know how they pay for the leather couch and cute muffins and coffee in the waiting room..... Belt is $35.87 at www.parts.com and procedure would seem to take all of 5 minutes. If you have to replace idler pulley and tensioner that is more.
