muz Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Can anyone provide any help with instructions on replacing the tail light bulbs in my 2004 GX470? Thanks
mann777 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Replacing Tail light bulb is quite easy. Once you open the rear door. You need to remove the 2 bolts and then the release the claw. This claw is located on the outer sides of the car body. Take a (-) screwdriver, tape the edge of the screw driver, and insert into the gap and have someone pull it out. Dont twist and turn the assy, just pull the lamp assy towards yourself, the claws will release the lamp assy. Now disconnect the connector and now twist the bulb holders and replace the bulbs and insert the assy the reverse of what you have done. Now the most difficult part will be to remove the Lamp assy of the RH side as the cargo door has got a bit of obstruction, you need to keep the door open is an angle to do this job. Cheers
