Thanks Stevej, Since Toyota knew of this since 2007 and their recent track record one should be concerned.

I did some research regarding the Valve Spring recall on selected Lexus models and learned my car is a victim. After confirming this with Lexus Customer service, I then called my dealer only to be told they have no information yet. This is quite disturbing...why has Lexus announced this without getting dealerships involved. Since a consequence to this issue states the car could stall, loosing power (at any speed at at any time)! Very disappointed that the dealership cannot even run a test to measure the severity. Hope my car lasts until the repair plan/parts are distributed.

Hi Guys, I have a lease on a 2007 GS350 AWD and the 50K miles warranty will be up soon. So far the car has been really good, does anyone have any experiences with their 305 AWD beyond 50K miles? I am trying to decide if I should extend the warranty... I will have the car for another year at least. Thanks,

I have had the same problem. Take a look at the plastic molding on the doors, it is likley they are interferring.

Well the dealer said they would take care of it... one time ONLY! This is the same response I got for my 04 GX with the same problem. Guess what? the GX is peeling again. Seems to me this is a problem that should be addressed, not really a wear thing. Does any else share this peeling on steel wheels?

The finish on my wheels (which appears to be paint) is peeling. Does anyone know if this is covered under the 50K warranty> Thanks!
