2005 Es 330 Question On Auxiliary Power

I am being informed that an Auxilairy Power Outlet on a 2005 ES 330 is only "powered up" when the vehicle is running.

In other words, a cell phone can only be charged in the outlet when the ignition is turned on, or the vehicle is running.

I cannot believe this is true?

Can someone go check and tell me?

Sorry about that previous post. OOPS!

Yes, my 2005 ES330 is the same. Can't charge the cell phone without the car running. My phone always beeps at me (telling me it is no longer charging) when I stop the car.....

Wow! That is messed up since about every other car out there does.....including my previous 1999 ES300!
