Nakamichi Cd Changer Intermittent!

i just bought a 98 ls400 and the cd changer with my nakamichi system works very sporadically. some cd's it will do nothing, just sit there. some cd's it will play for a while, then start playing for a sec, pausing for a sec, playing for sec.... sometimes after it pauses for a while i get the message ERROR 21 or something like that...does anyone know why this is?

error 21 on cdx-p9176zt pioneer made changer for nakamichi system means a focus failure of the laser. clean cds and clean laser . if not improved then the spin motor is bad and not allowing focusing.

yea..so...cleaning laser made NO difference...
