TroyLexus
After driving for even 10 or 15 minutes or so, I can smell a distinct burnt oil smell. I read in the manual that these are supposed to burn SOME oil, but this seems a little much... any idea's ? any input ? Is this nothing to worry about ? is this an early sign this engine is junk ? 2004 / 80,000 miles. . . Thanks!
George_Jetson
It is probably the valve cover gaskets leaking oil, and it is making it's way down to the exhaust manifold. Look for the leak, and take care of it.

George_Jetson
It's listed as about 3 hours, front gasket is very easy. rear gasket requires you to remove the intake plenum. Good time to consider changing spark plugs.
