ravig292 Posted April 7, 2009 Share Posted April 7, 2009 does anyone know how to take out the license plate lights on a 2000 Ls400? i want to change them. i got to the small bulb but it wouldn't come out and i didn't want to brake it. Unless something has been drastically changed on the 98-00 It's as simple as 1, 2, done. The license plate lights seem so simple...however...after removing the 4 Phillips screws the 2 little plastic covers over the bulbs refuse to come off. This is a '93 LS400 with 258,000 kms on it. I'm afraid to force the little "windows" as they'll probably break easily. I will try spraying with WD-40 in case that loosens them and allows the windows to fall out. Anyone have a better suggestion? 2. Pull out the 194... Unless something has been drastically changed on the 98-00 It's as simple as 1, 2, done. jcrome04 Posted April 9, 2009 Share Posted April 9, 2009 You botched the quote B) lol And there are little "snap" kind of fittings on the lenses. Take a small flat head screwdriver, and just pry on it very gently and you'll be able to see where the snaps are. They pull right out.
