pitola23
i was driving my gs 300 on the highway and it shut off cause it ran out of gas. it turned back on long enough to make it to the next exit. it shut off again and i pushed it to the gas station. i filled it up (full tank) and it started right up. on my way home it shut of again and i pushed it home. it didnt want to start after that. my first thought was the fuel pump but i checked it by removing the 17mm screw on the back of the fuel rail and it shoots out plenty of gas. i then pulled out the spark plugs and they were flooded with gas. i unpluged the fuel pump and the car started. it ran untill it burn all the gas in the engine and fuel lines. as soon as a plug the pump back on the car shuts off and it gets flooded again. also whenever i leave the ignition on i can here the injectors clicking and it never use to do that. what do you guys think can be wrong? my next guess would be the fuel pressure regulator but how do i check that? and why will it go bad after just running out of gas? please help.
