markwbball Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 I have a 99 lexus es300 and I want to debadge the from elbem and take of the eblems on the trunk. Has anyone done it? Is there a notch in the trunk that would be visable if i took them off?
1990LS400 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 This thread is for an earlier ES300: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...&hl=debadge Most Lexus cars have small holes in the trunk lid for pins on the back of the badges to fit into. For at least some model years, the "LEXUS" and "model" badges on GS cars are simply stuck on -- no holes. I don't know if the center "L" badge on the back of a GS has pins. I once had a Mercedes debadged when I had it at a body shop for other work ... the bodyshop filled the holes with lead and repainted the trunk lid.
