DCV Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I tried to remove the shield that covers the power steering reservoir and broke the 4 clips that hold the shield. I went to a Toyota dealer (close by) and got 4 more clips that, when you push in the center pin, it fits flush on the top of the clip. Can anyone tell me the best way to remove the clip when I want to remove the shield next time. Are the original RX clips available at any parts store? The nearest Lex dealer is a distance from me. Thanks
lenore Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I take a scribe (pointed tip) and pry the center cap up enough to grab with needle nose plyers. However these clips are plastic and get brittle with age. so they do break, especially when cold...
