sol duc Posted February 24, 2009 Share Posted February 24, 2009 My check engine light came on a few days ago. I went to auto parts store and they pulled a P1135 code from the OBD. The car is a 2002 es 300 90k miles. the car runs fine but i want to try and fix it myself. I was told this code is....Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1) is that the same thing as a oxygen sensor? How hard will this be to fix? lenore Posted February 24, 2009 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Not quite the same, but looks like an Oxygen sensor. Whatever you do, do not buy aftermarket sensor, everyone on two sites has not been successful with these (Bosch) Use original equipment OE Denso Air/fuel sensor. You will be dollars ahead, and not stuck with a sensor that you cannot return. There were post on this just with a week ago.
