Lether Repair

Hi, on my driver side door, inside right next to the window. I have a small tear in the leather, i think it is leather, may be vinyl. Anyway, any ideas on how to mend back together? Products or techniques appreciated. Thx

bought the kit at my local auto parts store, bought the one with the little heat iron still under $20
