Quarter Glass Replacement

Can someone please advise me on what is involved in replacing the drivers side quarter glass? Someone broke into my car last week and I have a quote for $320 to replace the broken glass. I can probably find the glass for quite a bit less than that but would like to know what all is involved in replacing it. Thanks in advance.
