messylexy Posted November 26, 2008 Share Posted November 26, 2008 Hey i got a 1991 es250. the engine on it is pretty much done so im replacing it with a rebuilt camry engine i was told it was a direct replacement. i got started on it but im wondering if its possible to remove the engine without the transmission. Any additional pointers are grreatly appreciated. Its very possible, but MUCH easier to take it all out at once. The transmission can be removed from old and put on new engine easily...It isnt heavy.
