pepa2000
Its winter again and I had the exact problem last year as it started to get cold. When I started my 2002 ES300 in the cold wintery morning my car started running really rough and the check engine light came on. After it warmed up the car ran fine but the check engine light stayed on. Same exact thing happened last year as it started to get cold. I brought it o Lexus last year and they said nothing was wrong and they reset the check engine light. Anyone else have any insight on this problem? George_Jetson
Do you have the code for the check engine light? If not take it down to your local auto parts store and write the code down. It could be several things, without more information you would just be shotgunning it. My first guess would be ECT sensor, but that is only a guess.
