MrToad
I have a 2001 Lexus RX300. I replaced the bulb in my front low beam headlight with an OEM bulb that I got from an auto parts store. The new bulb seems to fit perfectly, it snaps in place as it should, looks identical to the original bulb, has the same parts number printed on the bulb as the old bulb, etc. The contacts on the bulb socket seem fine - no corrosion. However, when I replaced the bulb, the low beam headlight still does not work. It is only the passenger's side low beam headlight that does not work (the smaller high beam headlight still works on the passenger's side). The driver's side lights are fine. Is it possible that there is a burned out fuse that it causing the new headlight bulb to not work, or is it likely something else? Would a burned out fuse cause all headlights (left and right) to stop working? If so, does anyone know where this fuse is located? Any advice as to what I should check next or why the new bulb may not be working? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
N.C.O.
There is a separate fuse for each side of the head light, I believe it is in the engine compartment fuse box on the driver's side of the engine compartment. Your owner manual will give you more information on that. N.C.O.
