sup2jzgte
Hello this is my first post on this forum, but I'm not new to Lexus forums as a whole. I figured I would come on over here and see whats going on and ask a question seeing how after searching the site I realized there are a ton of damn smart people on here. So here it goes. I'm going to be installing the Python 1400XP Remote Starter into my SC300, is there anything I should be on the look out for? When this is hooked up will the stock alarm still work................not that it really matters, but it would be nice if it did and I could control it from one remote. I just want to make sure that I'm correct when I say that the 97 SC300 DID NOT have the immobilizer built in, that was 98 and up correct? Now I know that someone is going to say that I should bring it to a shop and have it done, but honestly I will never learn unless I work it out myself, so that is why I'm doing all the research I can before hand. If anyone needs this in the future here is the wire diagram:

If anyone needs this in the future here is the wire diagram: Good luck on your install. I did one on my 92 sc400. I have done 3 or 4 installs and I can now do it in about 3 hours on a car whose electrics are new to me. I assume you have a manual transmission. I have heard that in some states it is illegal to have a remote starter on a manual, for safety reasons. Either way, you will need to park in neutral with parking brake applied, or your car may move when you remotely start it. I don't remember having to do anything special to the factory alarm. Overall, it was a pretty easy and very satisfying project.
