Ragtop Girl
I posted earlier about the cracked wheel. I finally got home after almost losing my mind with the dinging every two minutes. The local dealer looked at the wheel today and says is it not a warranty issue. They claim the wheel was damaged when I had tires put on almost five months ago. This doesn't make sense to me - if the wheel was damaged by the tire installer, wouldn't it have shown up before now? The tire itself is just fine. A body shop friend said he had never seen a cracked wheel without a damaged tire and felt it would be a warranty issue. Has anyone else had any problems with this or have any ideas? I don't know whether to try to push higher up with Lexus or just buy the new wheel and move on. Thank you.
gordonw
Not necessarily. The crack may have started out small , and unnoticeable, but then grew over time. Were they putting on run flat tires?
