94 Ls400 - Starter Needs Replaced

I believe the starter on my 94 LS needs replaced. I've seen step by step DIY in previous post but can't seem to find one now.

I guess my symptoms are 1) It won't start (click). 2) it won't stay jumped. Mechanic checked the battery and the alternator, says they are both good that It is probably the starter that I should sell it before it goes because the repair is expesive because of labor.

Dad agrees says winter is coming get rid of it. (it?!) But I am still in love. He loves a challenge and his daughter so he asked me to get chiltons he would try it himself to save me the grand + I've been quoted. (he is a driveway mechanic)

I have had a few problems see below: now I can add the starter to the list .

power steering / fuel pump/ white smoke

radio/clock LCD out

driver side door handle

driver side window

Rear emblem replaced (stolen!!!)

replacement card key
