saabkyle04 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Yesterday, I was getting my books out of my trunk to go to class and when I went to close the trunk I heard this rattling from underneath the car. It only happened when I closed the trunk. I got a friend to look at it while I shut the trunk and we deduced that it it was the heat shield surrounding the passenger muffler. It's almost like one side just got loose and is banging on the muffler or something. It's not hanging down or anything and you cannot hear it in the car but it kind of annoying to hear the back of your car rattle every tim you close the trunk, it just doesn't sound good hahaha. Has anyone had any problems with this happening before? I was going to take it to lexus eventually, the next time I go home. What will it require to fix this? My friend said it wasn't a big deal, is that true? I tried posting a video but it wouldn't upload it. Thanks, Kyle
mhawkin1 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 LOL - my car rattles every time I close the trunk as well. Guess I will put that one on my list for my 10,000 service. Yes, LIST. Matt
