Fountainpenracing
Can't find easy way to check and ad air to spare tire in my 2004 RX 330 . Is it necessary to get under the car or somehow drop the tire on the ground to check the air in the spare tire? The only option to lowering the tire I could suggest is to go to Griot's Garage - I think the website is griotsgarage.com. Hopefully they still carry little gizmo that is a hose you can connect to the tire, then route to the trunk. Now I don't use this on my RX330, so I don't know if there is any way to actually route it into the trunk from the externally mounted tire. However, if you left it coiled up in the well of the spare it could prevent you from having to lower the tire completely.
Grumpa72
I check my tires several times a month but I only check the spare every 3-4 months. So far, no tire has needed air except for the usual requirement when temperatures change. Bite the bullet, drop the spare and check the pressure.
