MarcLex Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 Hi, I was wondering to trade my ES 300 for an IS 300. Do you think it's worth it ? Was almost ready to buy a brand new '04 IS 300 when I heard that a complete new '05 is coming. Some are talking about a coupe and a convertible based on the same actual body. But others say that the new IS will be a brand new body as well as the dashboard. Does anyone have any information? Will it be just new models added or will it be a new body? If so I will prefer to wait for my purchase. Thanks for any answer :)
HUSTLER Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 05 is300 wont be a whole new body style just slightly different then the current one. dont expect a whole different car. personally, i would go a head and trade in the es300 for a 04 is300 in a blink. u wont regret it. trust me. ;) and there isnt any coupe or convertible comin for the is300. its just rumours.
ozarra Posted December 25, 2003 Posted December 25, 2003 I am sorry to disagree with you but for 2005 there is an all new Is 300 4 wheel drive based on the new toyoyta supra platform. It is already out in Japan and will be coming end of 04' as an 05' model. Furtheremopre, it is rumured to have a v6 and v8 possibilities. The 2jz-je will be abandonned so if you want a rocket car buy the actual one if you want a compkletely redisigned./high tech car wait. :D
MarcLex Posted December 27, 2003 Author Posted December 27, 2003 Hi, :) Thank you guys for your replies. I test drove the IS and love it. I think I will not wait 4 the next year model and get the rocket car.... ;) Happy Holiday
WildWeasel Posted December 31, 2003 Posted December 31, 2003 Lexus is going to redesign both the GS and IS for MY2005? That doesn't seem very likely. I'd figure MY2006 for the IS redesign. As far as your trade situation, buy that IS! Get out of that gussied-up Camry and into a real drivers' car. B)
