Iacv Issue: Does It Include Power Issues?

My wife's car was having all of the symptoms of the IACV issue but then Thursday the car would not start at all and the power in the car seemed to be waning... meaning the dash was all lit up but then when I went into start mode with the key it started getting dimmer and dimmer until the gauges were no longer lit. Did anyone with the IACV issue have an interior lighting issue?

I have tested the battery and it is fully charged and I had replaced the starter yesterday but still same issue. Could this still be IACV?

Thanks for any help

Probably not. The IACV usually only controls start up... once you get it warmed up enough to idle, the IACV then doesn't do much (unless it's stuck closed, which is rare... usually stuck open).

It sounds like you've got a dying battery... it could show fully charged, but not able to delivery the CCA's (cold cranking amps). If the power loss is systemic, meaning through all your systems, then I would look first at the battery. If you have a jumper or another car to pull the battery from, that would tell you right there.
