Engine Light-cel Burn Out Test ?

Did a search but everything I saw had to do with replacing the bulb.

Can I short something and cause the bulb to come on in order to test if it's working? Is there a combination of cluster buttons to hit to arm it?

I've had trac light problems in the past and am researching that now, which led to this question.

To check your warning lights, turn your ignition switch to on (just before start). They should all light up like a Christmas tree. Check with your manual for locations and to see if any are missing.
