Mango
I was hoping one of you could help me. The battery warning light has started coming on. I've been told this means the battery isn't discharging properly, and it could be a problem with the acceleration belt. Is this something I can easily repair? If I go in to get it fixed what price am I looking at? Thanks
blk_on_blk
You should have the battery checked for functionality. If it's fine, then look at the alternator/voltage-regulator. These would be the top two potential culprits I would look at. Both are not a huge expense to repair. You can get a nice replacement battery at Costco. The alternator is a bit more work/money. ...but you won't know which it is until you get them tested.

Mango
Thanks, do you know what sort of place I can get the battery tested?
blk_on_blk
Any Autozone, Checker, Schucks, Napa, Kneck's, Pep Boys, Les Schwab Tire, Advanced Auto Parts, or any other such local automotive parts store should be able to help you out. A battery check should be free at any of those places.
