Lexus Nav Dvd Same As Toyota?

Does anyone know if the navigation DVD used in the ES350 is the same as used in the Toyota Avalon or Camry?

I don't know for sure but it is definitely a different NAV system. One of the reasons why I did not buy an Avalon and did buy an ES is the Nav system. Can't see how the DVD would be the same but maybe the maps are...? Not sure about the Camry.

What did you see that was different about the nav system?

Its exactly the same system. Some of the menu layouts are different, but thats true from model to model too (i.e the GS has menus the ES does not, etc). If I remember correctly the Avalon's interface is a little different...maybe not touchscreen? I don't remember. Other Toyotas have touchscreens though, our Prius does.

The disc should be the same.

The latest Navigation DVD for the ES350's is: Version.(7.1), Generation 5, U32

Some examples of compatible vehicles:

Lexus: '07-'08 ES350, '07-'08 GS350/430/460/460h, '07-'08 RX350/400h, '07-'08 GX470, '06-'08 IS250/350

This DVD will fit most '07-'08 Toyota models, with the exception of the Toyota Avalon model.

Hey SW, sorry for any confusion. My post was referring to the Avalon. And yes, the entry method is very different and it is not a touch screen on the Avalon (as it is on the ES). And, thanks AMF for the clarifications!
