bplaney Posted April 2, 2008 Share Posted April 2, 2008 The gasket between the engine and transmission is leaking (slowly). I was given an estimate of $686 to replace this (from a Lexus repair shop that does work on out-of-warranty Lexii). They said the repair requires the removal of the engine. Is this true??? If so, should I view this as an opportunity to replace my motor mounts? (the car has 101k miles). How long should I wait to do this repair? I only put 5000 miles on this car since I bought it a year ago, and will likely put the same number of miles on it this year. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
