HLUCKOFF Posted February 22, 2008 Share Posted February 22, 2008 I was at my Lexus dealer this evening and ran into the service advisor so I asked him that in my owners manual it said to use ILSAC certified 5W-30 oil but it doesn't say GF3 or GF4 so which is it. His answer was that they use GF3 in the IS and ES model and that the more expensive models need GF4 certified oil, that's funny and one of the reasons I change my own oil.
