  1. Inadvertenly let some out - looking for oil pan drain. Automatic transmissions usually don't have a drain plug in the transmission pan, you might have to take it someplace where they hook into the cooler lines, I don't know of any other way to add fluid, when you don't have a dip stick.
  2. The new Michelin Primacy MXV4's have a 620 treadwear Steve lol....just thought I would mention that. ;) I have the Energy MXV4's on my 2008 and they say 440 treadwear, but the Primacy MXV4's do say 620 and have a 60,000 mile warranty. My CLK 320 MB has Continentals and they were replaced at a little over 20,000 miles on the rear.
  3. Every day I see people accelerate hard from a stop sign only to brake hard at the next one, and then the cycle starts all over again. Then they complain they get lousy fuel economy, the tires wear out too fast, the brake pads don't last on and on it goes, heaven forbid that they should look at the way they drive, it's always someone else's fault never their own. No I don't know the way you drive but I see how a lot of people drive and maybe if we took it a little easier things would last longer. I have 3,000 miles on my rear tire on my Suzuki Bandit and the wear bars are showing, darn Dunlop they sure make cheap tires, it couldn't possibly be my own fault.
  4. $2000 under invoice for an Accord, that dealer must have lost money on that deal. I work for one of the big 3 auto companies and I can't even buy for $2000 under invoice.
  5. I was at my Lexus dealer this evening and ran into the service advisor so I asked him that in my owners manual it said to use ILSAC certified 5W-30 oil but it doesn't say GF3 or GF4 so which is it. His answer was that they use GF3 in the IS and ES model and that the more expensive models need GF4 certified oil, that's funny and one of the reasons I change my own oil.
  6. Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and just got my first Lexus and have a quick question. I changed my tire pressure and found the re set button on the bottom of the dash along with a little yellow light, is this the tire pressure warning light, if it is I can't get it to blink 3 times to show that it is re set, thanks for any help.
