hrlychc24 Posted February 12, 2008 Share Posted February 12, 2008 I have a 1995 ES300 My transmission Is working fine but all of a sudden it stopped shifting into over drive..... And the ECT light in the dash is on only when the lights are on when you cut the lights off the light isnt on. Any help will help me at this time. I dont know what to do with it Maybe the engine/transaxle ECU has "learned" that your OLD and TIRED engine cannot produce enough torque to sustain OD operation at the low engine RPM level typically involved. Try putting in a FULL tank of PREMIUM, disconnect the battery for 10-15 minutes and then see if OD works. Oh, and a new/CLEAN intake air filter.
