04Blue430 Posted January 24, 2008 Share Posted January 24, 2008 Have an 04 SC430 with 32K miles. Second owner. I have some other work being performed and I was given an ES350 loaner (07 or 08). The ES shifting is MUCH MUCH smoother than the SC. When I punch the ES it responds with very little lag, the SC however has at least 1.5 to 2 seconds. Also when accelerating after coming out of a turn there is a definite lag also. Is this something that others experience or should I have Lexus look at it... Park your car in level , put gear in Neural and parking brake on , start engine and check fluid while engine running . my 2002 SC 430 just completed 60000 mile maintenance at Lexus dealer by previous owner , they put to much transmission fluid , i got the problem like yours ,i drained out the overfluid , now it's much much better .
