Twice in 2 days, my 11-month old (mileage, 25,000) LS 430 refused to start. No problems with starter or battery, and, in both instances, after waiting an hour, car did start. Dealer unable to identify problem, saying it was "probably just a glitch." Help!

It is possible that the contacts across the starter solenoid are worn. But at such a low mileage and such a new vehicle, I would be very suprised to see that. When you say the car does not start, does it turn over or do hear nothing - or do you hear a click? How long do you hold the key forward when you start the car? What kind of fuel have you been running? Is your air filter clean? An auto car will only start in park or nuetral and sometimes the foot must be on the brake as well. Not sure about those 430's. Perhaps the anti-theft function has been activated?

Try the LS forums as well in case someone else has a similar experience.

Good luck.

Have the dealer look at ECU. Nissan 80's and early 90's had problem with the ECU over heating (common problem). Similar problem with GM product lines. Its hard to troubleshoot since it will not register error until it actually happens. you ECU can be defective causing the ECU to shut down preventing start until it cools. good luck.
