NIALS400
I have a LS1 and the large vacuum line, or what appears to be a vacuum line on the front of the intake is cut and plugged with a screw. It’s the one to the right under the Lexus badge. Is this important or no big deal? Thanks.

If it starts OK, I would disregard but at least put a nice pipe plug in it.
CUMan
That sounds like one of the lines that come from the air control valve at the bottom of the power steering pump. I suspect that the valve failed and was allowing power steering fluid to be drawn into the intake manifold. Rather than replace the valve, someone blocked off the line. NIALS400
It starts ok but does take about 3-4 seconds of cranking when cold. Would replacing the valve change the cold start crank time? Are the air control valves available at part stores or only from Lexus?
