Copying Mp3s To Hdd

Loving this new auto of mine (Smokey Granite/ML/NAV) and I have figured most things out.

Can mp3 CDs be coipied ("recorded") to the HDD.

If not, I am assuming it might be a fidelity concern?? not in sound quality, but in file integrity!

Only audio cds can be ripped to the hard drive.

I copy mp3's from cd to hdd frequently. Just the normal copy command in windows.
