aggiecarpenter Posted November 20, 2007 Share Posted November 20, 2007 I heard a rattle noise that started about a week ago near the rear of my 96 LS. I looked underneath to notice that there was bent up skid plate between the muffler and the edge of the car right in front of the drivers side rear tire. It looks like it was dented pretty badly and is now rattling when I start my car. Can anyone tell me what this skid plate protects and if I should worry about replacing it.
