I Have A 06 Gx What Will A Nav Upgrade Do For Me?

I have a 06 GX and a 07 LS the two nav systems are very different. Will an upgrade (to the 06 GX system) give me the capability to insert phone numbers for Nav direction as in the 07 and better screen features? Or does the upgrade just give me more place info?

Also Does the 08 GX have the same nav as the 07 LS?

It will just give you more data. The 08 GX should have the same system as the LS460.

Press the DEST panel button, then touch the arrow button at the top right corner for page 2 of 2. There you will find the telephone feature you see on page 1 of the LS's DEST menu. Remember, the telephone number input is designed to find businesses only. You cannot get route guidance to a personal address unless you have added the telephone number to a registered address (My Places > MENU button, touch My Places)

Lastly, the LS is a GEN 5 HDD system and the GX is a GEN 4 system. All GEN 4 systems are DVD-ROM based while the LS is the only new Hard Disc Drive (HDD) system available from Lexus. The DVD map disc update will only improve the map database. There will be no changes to the user interface.
