92lextasy Posted September 12, 2003 Posted September 12, 2003 Today i tried turning my ac on after i started up the car and it wouldnt cool at all. I looked on here to find what was wrong and it said how to do the test on it. After i did it: its came up code:21 -solar sensor- now i dont know what step to take to figure out what i can do to fix it. If anyone has this same problem please help me out... Thanks
SKperformance Posted September 13, 2003 Posted September 13, 2003 the solar sensor is only going to work in the day when it is bright it is the little red ball on the top of the dash by the middle of the winsheild it also only controls the rate of vented air meaning if there is alot of sunlight then it makes more air go to the vents rather than the floor with a higher fan rate you may need a recharge of freon
