I hae just purchased a 99 es300, being a toyota owner my whole life i know alot about these cars. on the radio, ironically, the lcd works fine, but the back lights for the presets, volume, and am-fm-cd, all do not work except for one, how are they replaced?? are they lcd or bulbs? is this something I can fix or does it need to go out for repairs? thanks for any help you can offer me.

After you remove the unit (both A/C and radio), all of the bulbs are easily replaceable. The seperate units have different bulbs. They are inexpensive, so replace ALL of them while the entire unit is out of the dash. Your local Lexus dealer can order these for you. Do a search. Someone posted photos a while back.
