amirs4 Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 This tranny problem with early model RX300's is *BLEEP*ty and I feel bad for those that have had to shell out money for it. I can only hope it doesn't bite me. I currently have 62K miles and all service done by dealer. Would it be smart to go in and complain about the tranny while I'm still covered by the powertrain warranty? Even if they don't fix anything, it will be in the records. Thanks for the input.
lenore Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Unless it is bad, they wont do anything. The best thing is to have the fluid changed every 15k miles or once a year. Cheap fix for hopefully making it go the long run. While you are under warranty you could consider a extended warranty. If your car is AWD they are the ones failing, if it is only Front wheel drive, relax and do the maintenance....
