drmull Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 Hello - I have a broken passenger side auto-dim mirror ('99 RX300). I want to buy a used one, take out the glass and frame and pop it into my housing. I realize there are 2 connectors - one for heat & one for auto dim. The folks I want to buy from can't guarantee it's an auto dim mirror by looking at it. They can, of course, see the wires dangling out of the mirror housing. Can anyone tell me how many wires should be present to make it auto dimming? He seems to think at first glance there are "11 or 12" wires - 2 pins on one row, 6 on another & 5 or 6 on another. I can't remember how many wires went into each of the mirror connectors when I reattached my broken one. I'm afraid to pull it off again! If anyone has a diagram showing the wiring I would appreciate ANY help -I'd like to order the used one before it gets away if possible. Thanks very much.
