Super Rich And Tach Jumps All Over

Recommended Posts

Bought a sc400 that was slightly wrecked and fixed it all up it runs but VERY rich so much the cats glow red and there is NO power at all! I disconnected the airflow meter and it runs the SAME! guessing the meter needs replaced? Any other clue? im swapping that out tomorrow!

ALSO, the tach just jumps all over the place not showing true RPMS. any easy fix or do i have to replace the cluster?

Thanks all for now, thanks guys

one or both coils are dead. and the tach signal comes from the coil.

Would this be causing both problems?

I can see the one of the coils on the drivers side... where is the other?

Can I do a continuity check across the coil to see if its good?

Thanks yall
