Vaistech And Costaletech Questions?

Recommended Posts

I'm considering the VaisTech SLI and the coastaletech lockpick3? Does anyone out here have both? Do they work well together?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Is the Vais simply for Ipod? If so, why not just get the much simpler DICE? lockpic & DICE work independent of e/o meaning neither interferes w/ the operation of the other.

I believe the general consensus here is that the vaistech adapter works better than the dice adapter. You get more functionality with the vais.

With the 08, the "I Agree" button is gone, so the lockpick only adds the abaility to enter addresses while driving. That is of course if it actually works with the 08 models with the Nav version 7.1.

Haven't heard about 08 NAV compatability yet, but "only adds ability to enter addresses" ?? Uhh, don't know why you think that. Depending on how many features you buy w/ the lockpick, it's also for POI's, DVD access, changing routes and most important, bluetooth phone access / dialing, etc.

What bums me about the '08 is the dealer kept promisingg us that when they came out, they'd finally have smart entry/ignition, like many other high-tech/new/nice cars do.

Oh. I don't have the vais. It seems after skimming their site just now, both interface satelite radios, & mp3/ipod type devices. I'm curious about what other features there may possibly be. Seem I'm missing the differences (other than the $224 versus $143) on the more functionality consensus aspect.

I had a dice adapter in my audi. It worked well but there wasn't much control from the radio. Supposedly with some pre-setup with playlists you have a lot of control from the nav screen using the vais.
