RCPeters
Just started seeing a green light labeled "ECT Power" and have not found a reference for what it is actually trying to tell me. Help! On my 01 LS430, that light means you have the transmission in the "sport mode" or what Lexus calls the "power" mode. You can switch it back to normal mode by using the ECT/PWR switch located on the center console panel. This is explained in the owner's manual. Edward Soudan
I have a 1999 GS300 SE (UK spec) which shows a continuous flashing ECT/PWR light on the dash, ostensibly indicating a Solenoid problem. However, I have changed the transmission/gearbox oil with no sign of metal shavings therein (an indication of Solenoid problems) and I have driven more than a 1000 miles with the light flashing and with the car running PERFECTLY. Any thoughts anyone?
