Just started seeing a green light labeled "ECT Power" and have not found a reference for what it is actually trying to tell me. Help!

While driving, I am unable to enter destinations. If I stop, turn off the ignition, and then start driving again I can usually get part of the address line entered, but then, the screen freezes. Where am I going wrong?
