Hi there,

There seems to be sockets in the engine compartment for traction control modules. Does anyone know if I can just buy the modules, plug them in and get traction control even if the car did not originally come with traction control?

Thanks a bunch,

Sam

You would have to replace many things. The throttle body is different on sc's equipped with traction control. The traction control ecu, the engine wire harness and many others. I don't think it would be worth it in my opinion. It would cost quite a bit.

I'd opt'd for a 1.5 or 2.0 LSD and some better tires. What do you need Trac for anyway?

I find myself shutting off the tracs nearly every time I use the vehicle. The exception is during snow, but that shouldn't be a concern where you live.

ive got a 93 sc400 with traction control smashed sitting in my garage. I just bought a 92 sc400 without traction control. My question is, what exactly would have to be changed between the 2 engines in order for the trac engine to work in the sc without trac??
