Replacing A Brake Lamp

Recommended Posts

The bulb blew and I want to change it but wondered how to open the housing.

Should be an access door from the trunk but Oh well. There is a small plastic latch thing there (where that access hole should be) but it does not seem to fasten the housing.

Pry harder?

1.Insert a clip remover or a flat head screw driver, pop it upwards and disconnect the the engagement of the 2 front claws.

2.Pull the the center 3rd brake light assy towards you and disconnect the engagement of the 4 side claws.

3. Separate the connector, remove the 3rd brake light assy and replace the bulb.

Thank you, I will try again tomorrow with a bit more understanding of what I am about.
