mer1215 Posted August 18, 2007 Posted August 18, 2007 Hello all, I'm new here and looking for some help. I picked up a 1999 LS 400 a few weeks back, and I seem to be having a problem. While driving, I hear a clicking noise that I thought was coming from the air vent by the driver's door. Turns out, it's the headlights clicking on and off rapidly. After a little while, it seems to stop. This seems to happen in the daytime. I usually leave the headlight switch in the "auto" position. When I turn it to the "off" position, it still happens. Any idea what my problem might be?

Any idea what my problem might be? Yes, I know... You have recieved A COP CAR. You dont have to pay to get those strobessssssss installed!! be happy..those things cost like 300... ok ok...im just kidding.. but as for hte porblem...it may be a short wire....check out the wiring... i dont think iy could be a fuse..but worth a try

Yes, on the presumption that your headlights stay constantly on when you switch them to "on" at night then you have a failing or failed solar radiation sensor/system. You might try covering it help to see if that helps.
