tspotter
I have a 95 ls400 w/ 85k. Whenever I take my foot abruptly off of the gas pedal while at any speed, the transmission jerks violently. It has been recently serviced (T-tech) but the problem did not go away. The NHTSA shows a similar complaint on their website with no resolution and it refers to a problem with the ECU cutting out momentarily. Help! VMF
i have the same problem, and what i notices is if you let the engine heat up to the normal temperature and then put it into gear you will not have this problem. but if u will put it into D on a cold engine you will have it even when the engine is hot
tspotter
Yeah, I did notice that the other day. Driving to the highway it was pretty bad but after a good highway run the problem seemed better. The Lexus dealer want's $89 to test and see if the tranny has any stored codes. I think that unless he drives it with the scan tool attached during the occurrence he wont find anything. pretty annoying.
