BillyC Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 I am reposting this with a more descriptive title, since I was not getting any replies on the first try titled just "Airbags." Need to know how to disconnect the driver's airbag on a 1991 LS400 (We have some short drivers who must sit very close to the steering wheel). The fuse for the SRS airbag, et al, (#5 in the driver's kick panel) had been removed when I bought the car a few days ago. I wonder if it was removed intentionally, but I suspect that there is more to disconnecting the airbag than just removing a fuse. Besides, I would like to replace Fuse #5 so that the cigarette lighter outlet will work for recharging my cell phone. Thanks for any help you can provide. BillyC 1991 LS400
SKperformance Posted September 5, 2003 Posted September 5, 2003 do you want a permanent disable a temp both side or just the driver removing the airbag ecu will shut it down by unplluggni the harness may turn the light on the dash on though which basically will happen no matter what you do
